      Monday, Oct. 17 is Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night for Washington School. We earn 20% of the sales between 5 and 8 pm so make sure you “eat more chicken” to support our school and let them know when placing your order.

         PRIDE Posters for Red Ribbon Week are due on October 20^th. Third and fourth graders can enter by creating a slogan and poster explaining the dangers of drugs and alcohol.

         Ordering for the Scholastic Book Fair has been extended until Wednesday, Oct. 19^th!  Thanks to so many of you for supporting the Fall Book Fair. If you were able to attend, you saw what a wonderful experience your child had. It is our hope that parents and family members who couldn’t attend still heard positive accounts about the Book Fair. There you will find an expanded selection of books for the whole family—preschool to adults. All orders still support the library and the books ship to school for FREE. Upon arrival to our school, Ms. Gray will deliver the books to the students in their classrooms.  Thank you once again for such a great Book Fair and happy reading!

•         Apples for the Students Program Supports Washington - Register your Advantage Card today and every time you shop until March 17, 2012, you will earn points that can be redeemed for equipment for our school. Even if you have registered your card in the past, you must do so again every year. See the attached flyer for complete details.

•          Halloween Costume and Party Details.  Many of you have been asking about costume requirements and party details so Mr. Pearson was kind enough to put something together quickly to give everyone as much time as possible in planning.
