The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the National Highway Safety Administration are sponsoring the 2011 Click It or Ticket Campaign between November 18 and December 4.
Did you know that seat belts can increase the chance of survival in a crash by at least 50 percent? Buckling up is a quick and easy way to stay safe when traveling, and it’s the law in Pennsylvania. Anyone stopped and cited for a traffic violation receives a second citation if not wearing a seat belt. Between November 18 and December 4 police throughout the state will increase traffic enforcement and education efforts to remind everyone to Click It or Ticket—two tickets, two fines.
