Changes to 2012-2013 Daycare Transportation

This is an update of the email that was sent to you yesterday regarding daycare transportation for the 2012-2013 school year.
Attached is a REVISED list of daycare centers operating within the Bethel Park School District elementary attendance zones. Please disregard the list that was emailed to you yesterday and use the attached list. We apologize for any confusion
Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, the Bethel Park School District will provide transportation only to daycare centers that reside within the attendance zone of the elementary school in which the student attends.
All daycare runs are based on current attendance zones. The District will make every attempt to have at least one outside daycare option per elementary building. Additionally, before and after school programs will be provided by Lois Johnson at Franklin, Lincoln and Washington. The District is looking into the possibility of contracting daycare services for before and after school programs at Memorial and Penn.
It is estimated that this plan will save the District between $30,000 and $40,000 annually.
If your child currently attends a daycare center that is outside of your elementary school attendance zone, you will need to make alternate arrangements for the 2012-2013 school year.
