Family Picnic

Dear Washington Families,

 The Family Picnic is scheduled for next Friday, May 18 from 6 to 9 pm. As of now, we have received a great response with the number of families letting us know they are coming.However, we have received a very poor response of people to volunteer to help run activities. In fact, if we don’t get at least 10-15 volunteers by Monday, we will have to cancel some of the events such as the rock wall, slide, carnival games, and others. And, that would be sad for the kids because they really look forward to it.

Many people who signed up for the committee are not able to help and there are over 100 families who have indicated they will be coming to the picnic. We are asking you to step up now to save this event and volunteer a just a half hour of time during the 3-hour event to help run activities. The PTO is a volunteer based organization and without support from everyone, not just committee chairs and board members, we can't continue to do as many of the great events our children and families have come to love.

In addition, we need volunteers to be dunked for the dunk tank. This is one of the kids’ favorite activities every year. Perhaps a high school sibling?  As of Monday we will be cancelling the Dunk Tank if we do not get some volunteer “dunkees” so please let us know if you’re willing to get a little wet!
